Ive had my AE86 for about 10yrs now and Ive learned a lot from it. Things I like, things I dont, things I should have done and things I shouldnt have. It has been down for almost 5yrs now, 5yrs of ups and downs. Figuring things out along the way, changing directions many times. A few times I lost motivation and completely forgot about it and moved on to other things.
But now it is finally back, finally running and turning heads a block away thanks to Ray at Garage Autohero and Jason/John Reed at PSI. Since its been back I have worked on it each night and got back my motivation and passion for cars that I kinda lost for a little bit.
Its more than a car for me. It represents the culmination of many years of effort and vision from myself and Ray. I wanted to build something special that kept true to what an AE86 really is; an unruly beast of a street car.
I’ll never be done with this thing. I have lots of plans and little tuning things I want to do to it. I do plan on tracking it for drift as well as grip.
I am super glad to have it back and am now ready to enjoy what hard work and pain has brought!
